Executive Assistant to the President



Parabit Systems seeks an experienced, yet hungry, devoted and driven Executive Personal Assistant to directly support the company’s Owner and President.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a busy and ever-changing calendar with constant communication and follow-up
  • Assisting with planning, set-up, organization and seamless orchestration of small to large-scale events
  • Fielding calls and handling all correspondence on behalf of the Owner
  • Monitoring business expenses, managing all required travel itineraries, coordinating bill pay, etc.
  • Coordinating travel itineraries both domestic and abroad
  • Arranging meetings
  • Full execution of all special requests, both business and personal, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects with ease
  • Additional general Executive Personal Assistant duties upon request with a constant need for overriding flexibility and desire to exceed all expectations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong command of English language
  • Minimum 2 - 5 + years related experience working in a similar role

Installation/Service Technician - Access Control/CCTV/Kiosks/Digital Signage/Telephones (NY Metro Area)



Parabit is seeking Field Technicians to join our New York Metro Team. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Access Control and Analog/IP Surveillance Systems. Knowledge or Door Lock/Exit Equipment; Magnetic Locks, Door Strikes, Touch Door Release Bars, Mechanical Door Release Bars, REX Motion, Exit Button and Key Override Switches and related power supplies. Knowledge of: PC based systems; Kiosks and Digital Signage and Analog Telephone equipment.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with Installation and Service of:
    • ATM Lobby Card Access Control Systems
    • Door Lock/Exit Hardware
    • Analog and IP CCTV Surveillance Systems
    • Cable Pulls to Local and National Electrical Codes
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with:
    • Operation of power tools (Drills, Sawzall, Jig and Chop Saws, Grinders, etc.) and equipment in a safe, responsible and confident manner
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with Cable Terminations:
    • Data Cat5 Ethernet, Telco RJ11, Punch Down 66/110 Blocks, Coax and B-Nut
  • Driver's license in good standing (2 points or less on record)
  • Credit Report in good standing (All credit showing a current status and no judgments, liens or credit in collection.)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends or holidays (on an scheduled or on-call basis)
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Email
  • Locksmith experience a plus
  • Capable of working on a ladder

NOTE:

  • Complete and submit all forms and reports in a professional and timely manner
  • Prompt communication with dispatcher and dispatch system on the status of all travel and work performed
  • Provide on-call phone, remote and on-site support to service call requests and system installations
  • Maintain vehicle inventory
  • Perform service and installation work to minimize return visits to 2% or less compared to total service/installs performed annually.
  • Maintain proper operation of tools required for work performed
  • Maintain company vehicle (scheduled and as required service) with authorized service companies
  • Follow company standard dress code

Job Requirements:

  • Must be available to be on-call for remote and on-site service requests a minimum of one – two evenings per week and one weekend a month as well on a rotating basis with staff on Holidays
  • Standard Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hardware/Software and Quality Control Engineer



Responsible for the supervision of technicians in the building; repairing, modifying or overhauling electronic, electro mechanical equipment, mechanical equipment, and controls. This position will be heavily involved with Parabit’s Electronics Assembly/
Integration department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Record senior management's project requirements for evaluation by IT department
  • Communicate and demonstrate those requirements to project engineer
  • Source parts or find alternates
  • Answer questions on function, and operation of product
  • Verify that board layouts are suitable for enclosures or displays
  • Test new firmware loads
  • Test user interface
  • Build prototype fixture to test hardware functions
  • Obtain cost estimates for fabrication
  • Gather and backup project documentation
  • Document project setbacks and corrective actions taken to rectify those problem

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates must have an Associate’s Degree
  • Must have 3-4 years of Bench level Experience to be considered
  • Extensive electronics repair background, preferably in electronic access control
  • Must have surface mount experience and soldering
  • Experience with Analog, Digital and RF Circuitry, troubleshooting, repair, component removal and replacement
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings
  • Experience with electronic test equipment, (manual and automatic test equipment ATE)
  • Soldering and component removal replacement experience (surface mount experience desired)
  • Experience with computer systems, preferably with Microsoft Office

Candidate Requirements:

  • Sales experience with Access Control, Surveillance, Kiosks, and Digital Signage solutions a plus.
  • 5 years of experience selling through channel partners.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas of $3–$5 million plus per year.
  • Book of potential business.
  • Good working knowledge of GoldMine CRM, PipelineDeals CRM, or similar.
  • Excellent understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Travel to perform product demonstrations at Trade Shows and Client meetings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Senior Bench and Quality Control Manager



Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the; repairing, modifying and the overhauling of electronic, electro mechanical equipment, mechanical equipment, and controls. The Manager will provide technical and programming support to Field Techs and Clients on all products manufactured and distributed by Parabit.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform component level troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic access control assemblies.
  • Produce weekly reports on all productivity.
  • Produce weekly reports on fulfilled orders.
  • Create and maintain assembly procedures on all products.
  • Create and maintain repair procedures on all products.
  • Maintain a safe and organized department and work area.
  • Document and submit all functional failures of equipment to engineering for follow-up/repair.
  • Maintain quality control on the production of all equipment assembled, as well as, equipment purchased for resale.
  • Maintain diagrams/schematics on all products assembled and purchased for resale.
  • Maintain a bill of materials on all products assembled.
  • Document technical support and remote programming provided to all field techs and clients.
  • Maintain and document the repair of all equipment returned from the field.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all software packages utilized to program supported equipment.
  • Advise senior management of any part (or subassembly) that is used in the assembly process that becomes discontinued or obsolete.
  • Provide a monthly count of all equipment returned from the field and clients.
  • Maintain and ensure that all company equipment and tools are in proper working condition
  • Maintain repair records utilized in the assembly/repair of all products
  • Maintain company-required routine on all orders processed.
  • Substitute for Bench Techs as needed
  • Interface with outside contractors and developers
  • Work with manufacturing to manage the fabrication of hardware
  • Evaluate and propose the development of new hardware

Education/Experience Requirements:

Software/Hardware Engineer Manager



Job Summary:
Designs, develops, documents and tests all Software, Firmware and Circuit Boards. Maintain usability of current and new compilers, software and staff/subcontractor selection. Provide documentation, implementation and support on all Software, Firmware and Circuit Board Designs.   • Establish and maintain engineering policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent and secure department operation.

  • Establish and implement department operational and quality improvement programs.
